Upholstery Cleaning in Reading
The two places a sofa gets dirtiest are the arms and the headrest, and neither of them is dirt in the ordinary sense. It is hair oil and hand oil, which go on clear and then hold every bit of dust that lands afterwards. That is why those patches go darker than the rest while the seat cushions still look fine.
Reading has a very large rented sector and a lot of it is furnished, which means sofas that have had four or five households through them. Houses off the Oxford Road and around Katesgrove often come with a suite nobody has ever had cleaned. Those respond dramatically, because there is years of soil in them to take out rather than wear to disguise.
Pet hair comes off first, dry, with a brush and the vacuum, before anything wet happens — wet hair turns into felt and then it is in the weave for good. After that it is a pre-spray on the oily areas, a dwell, then extraction. A three-seater is £80, a two-seater £50 and a footstool £25.

Reading questions
The things people in Reading ask us most often.
Why are the arms of my sofa darker than the cushions?
Hand and hair oil. It transfers clear, then traps dust, so the arms and headrest shade off while the seats look untouched. A degreasing pre-spray and hot water extraction take most of it back out in a single visit.
Will you get the dog hair out?
Most of it. We brush and vacuum it out dry before anything wet goes near the fabric, because wet hair mats into the weave. Tell us there is a dog when you book so we allow the extra time for it.
Do you clean furnished rentals between tenants in Reading?
Regularly, across RG1, RG2 and RG30. We can work to a changeover date, invoice the landlord or agent directly and leave a dated receipt listing what was cleaned. A two-seater and an armchair comes to £85.
Is a two-seater worth doing on its own?
At £50 it meets the minimum charge exactly, so yes. Most people add the armchair at £35 or a rug at £25 while we are there, because the travel is already paid for and there is no second call-out.
