Carpet Cleaning in Ambrosden
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Ambrosden and the villages around it — service family quarters and older village housing. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Ambrosden
Ambrosden sits just outside Bicester and a good part of it is service housing, which gives us a particular kind of work. Quarters are handed back to a written standard, on a set date, and somebody comes round afterwards with a list. That is not a reason to panic, but it is a reason to book earlier than you would for an ordinary clean and to have a receipt in your hand on the day.
Hand-back inspections tend to look in the same places every time: the strip just inside the front door, the edges of every room where a vacuum never quite reaches, and the stairs. So we clean to the skirting rather than down the middle, because the middle is not where the argument happens. Tell us the date you have to be out when you book and we will work backwards from it.
The older part of the village is ordinary domestic work - family houses, a fair amount of wool in the bedrooms, and gardens that come indoors on the dog. Whichever side of Ambrosden you are on, the prices are identical: bedrooms from £30, a hall at £20, stairs at £35 and a landing at £20, with the £50 minimum applying to the visit rather than to each room.

Ambrosden questions
The things people in Ambrosden ask us most often.
How far ahead should we book a hand-back clean?
A week or two if you can manage it, and give us the actual date rather than a rough one. We work to your deadline instead of to our own diary, and you get a dated receipt to hand over with the keys.
Do you cover Ambrosden and the villages either side of it?
Yes - Ambrosden, Upper and Lower Arncott, Blackthorn, Piddington, Merton and Wendlebury, all OX25, plus Bicester itself and out as far as Ludgershall. Nothing is added for the distance on any of them, and there is no call-out fee either.
Will you clean right into the edges of the rooms?
Always. Edges and doorways are where soil gathers and where an inspection looks first, so they get a hand tool rather than a quick pass with the wand on the way past.
How much for a three bedroom quarter?
A hall, stairs, landing, lounge and three bedrooms comes to £205 at our standard prices. You get that figure confirmed before anything is switched on, not worked out at the end of the day.
