Carpet Cleaning in Windsor
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Windsor and the villages around it — period town houses, rented flats and a steady turnover of short lets. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.

Cleaning carpets in Windsor
Windsor has a housing market shaped by visitors. Alongside the period terraces of the town centre and the larger Victorian property out towards Clewer and Dedworth, there is a great deal of short-let and holiday accommodation, and it changes hands weekly rather than yearly. That makes for a particular sort of carpet problem: high turnover, little warning and a narrow window to get the work done in.
Short-let work is about timing more than technique. A gap between guests is often a single afternoon, so we arrive when we said we would, clean the rooms that matter and dry them properly rather than leaving somebody to check in to a damp floor. Tell us the changeover time when you book and we will work backwards from it.
The period property has a quirk of its own. Town-centre stairs in Windsor are frequently steep, narrow and turned, sometimes with a runner laid over bare boards. Those are hand work with a small tool, tread by tread, including the risers and the edges either side of a runner. It takes longer than a straight flight and the price is still £35.

Windsor questions
The things people in Windsor ask us most often.
Can you clean between guests in a holiday let?
Yes, and we keep to the time. Give us the changeover slot and we will plan the drying around it, with extra dry passes and doors left open so nobody arrives to a damp room.
Are turned or winder stairs charged extra?
No. A flight is £35 whether it is straight or full of winders. Turned treads are hand work with a small tool and they do take longer, but the price does not change for it.
Do you cover Windsor, Eton and Clewer?
Yes - the whole of SL4, taking in Eton, Clewer, Dedworth, Old Windsor, Eton Wick, Winkfield and Cranbourne, plus Datchet next door. There is no travel charge in any of it.
How much to clean a small terraced house through?
A hall, stairs, landing, lounge and two bedrooms is £175. Most town-centre houses here come out somewhere near that, and the figure is confirmed on the phone before anything is switched on rather than worked out afterwards.
