Cleaning carpets in Eaglescliffe
Eaglescliffe runs north from Yarm along the river as a long strip of 1930s semis, post-war estates and later infill, and it is settled family housing almost all the way. That means bedrooms, and bedrooms are the rooms people think about least and sleep in every night. Mattresses are from £25 and they are the most overlooked job we do.
A mattress collects sweat, skin and dust over years, and dust mites live on the skin rather than the mattress itself. Cleaning one is partly about marks and largely about taking that load out. We extract rather than soak, because a mattress that stays damp is worse than one that was left alone, and we are careful about how much water goes in.
The sensible way to book it is alongside carpet. Bedrooms are from £30 each, so two bedrooms and two mattresses comes to £110 and the whole upstairs gets done in one visit. Strip the beds before we arrive and leave them to air afterwards with the window open. Mattresses and bedroom carpets suit each other for exactly that reason.

Eaglescliffe questions
The things people in Eaglescliffe ask us most often.
How much is it to clean a mattress?
From £25 each. Most people have two or three done at once, or add them to carpet work in the same visit, which makes the best use of the £50 minimum charge.
How long before the bed can be made up again?
A few hours with the window open and the bedding off. We extract rather than saturate for that reason. Make the bed up again only once it is properly dry to the touch all over.
Is cleaning a mattress actually worth doing?
If nobody has ever done it, yes. Years of sweat and skin build up in the surface, and that is what dust mites feed on. Taking that load out makes a noticeable difference in a bedroom.
Does your area take in Eaglescliffe, Egglescliffe and Preston-on-Tees?
All three, plus Yarm, Hartburn, Elton, Long Newton, Ingleby Barwick, Aislaby, Kirklevington and High Leven. Same prices throughout with nothing added for travel, and no call-out fee, so a quote costs you nothing at all.
