Cleaning carpets in Henlow
Henlow village and Henlow Camp are two different places with two different sorts of carpet, and it is worth being clear which you are. The village proper has older cottages along the main street and by the river, often with wool carpet, narrow halls and original stairs.
Those older properties are our favourite kind of job and the one we take the most care over. Small rooms mean the hoses have to be managed carefully, older carpet means the fibre gets checked before anything happens, and a cottage stair with a tight turn is hand work all the way.
The newer family housing towards the camp is a different proposition entirely and usually much quicker - modern synthetic carpet that responds well to heat and a decent pre-spray.

Do you cover both Henlow and Henlow Camp?
Yes, both, and there is a separate page for Henlow Camp because the work there is often a hand-back clean rather than ordinary domestic. Either way there is no travel charge.
My cottage has very small rooms - is that a problem?
Not at all. We are used to working in tight spaces, and we lay hose protection through hallways and round door frames as a matter of course.
Can old carpet be brought back or is it past it?
Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly. A lot of carpet that looks finished is simply filthy. What cannot be recovered is pile that has physically worn away in a doorway, and we would rather say so than take the booking.
Do you clean rugs in the house?
Where the fibre and backing allow it, yes, on the floor or on a protected surface. Rugs start at £25 and we check the dyes for bleed in a hidden corner before anything wet goes anywhere near them.
