Carpet Cleaning in Carterton
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Carterton and the villages around it — service family housing, quarters and the estates built up around the airfield. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Carterton
Carterton exists because of the airfield next to it, and a large part of the town is service family accommodation. That brings us a particular kind of work: a house handed over on a fixed date, cleaned to a written standard, with somebody coming round afterwards to check it line by line against a list. We do a fair amount of it.
March-out carpet cleaning is not the same job as a domestic clean. The standard is the inventory rather than your own satisfaction, and the dates do not move for anybody. So we work to the handover date, write the receipt in the name on the paperwork, and keep the room list exactly as it appears on your form rather than tidying it up.
Posting in is the other half of it. A quarter somebody else has just moved out of is well worth having done before the furniture arrives - empty rooms clean faster and dry faster, and nobody is working round a made-up bed. Bedrooms are £30, a hall, stairs and landing £75, and an empty three-bedroom quarter is a morning's work.

Carterton questions
The things people in Carterton ask us most often.
Do you do march-out cleans for the quarters?
Regularly. Tell us the handover date and the rooms listed on your form and we work to that rather than to our own diary. You get a dated receipt in the right name to hand over with the keys.
Is it cheaper to have it done while the house is empty?
The price is the same, but it is quicker and it dries faster with no furniture in the way. If you have the choice, empty is always the better moment to get carpets done.
Do you cover Brize Norton and the villages round Carterton?
Yes - Brize Norton, Black Bourton, Alvescot, Bampton, Clanfield, Shilton, Aston and Burford are all OX18 and all in our normal working area. No travel charge to any of them and no call-out fee.
Can you clean carpets at short notice before a handover?
Often, and it is always worth asking. We cannot promise a particular day without checking the diary first, but we are in this area most weeks and handover dates tend to be known well in advance.
