Cleaning carpets in Didcot
Didcot has added an enormous amount of housing in a short space of time - Great Western Park and Ladygrove between them are bigger than plenty of whole towns - and almost all of it came with pale carpet fitted by the developer. Pale carpet in a house with small children is a combination we see several times a week, and most of those calls are about one specific incident.
What you do in the first five minutes decides most of the outcome. Blot with a white cloth or a wad of kitchen roll, pressing straight down rather than rubbing, and keep moving to a clean part of the cloth as it picks up. Rubbing distorts the pile and spreads the spill outwards. Work from the outside of the mark inwards so that you are not making it any bigger than it already is.
The other thing people ask here is why a stain they got out came back a week later. Almost always because the spill went deeper than the surface and something was left behind in the base of the pile, which then wicks upward again as the carpet dries. Household products make it worse by leaving a sticky residue that collects soil. Extraction takes it out properly instead.

Didcot questions
The things people in Didcot ask us most often.
Something has just gone on the carpet - what do I do right now?
Blot straight down with white kitchen roll, moving to a clean part each time, and work inwards from the edge of the mark. Do not rub it, and do not reach for a household cleaner - most leave a residue that attracts soil later.
A stain I removed has come back - why?
It wicked back up. The spill reached the base of the pile, and as the carpet dried it carried the rest of it to the surface again. Extraction removes what is down there instead of just the top of it.
Do you cover Great Western Park and Ladygrove?
Yes, along with the older part of the town and the villages around it - Harwell, Milton, Sutton Courtenay, Appleford, both Hagbournes and Blewbury. All OX11, and there is no travel charge.
How much for a lounge, hall, stairs and landing?
£115 at our standard prices, and it is the combination most people on the new estates book, because it covers everything downstairs that shows. Bedrooms are from £30 each if you want to add them while we are there.
