Carpet Cleaning in Middlesbrough
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Middlesbrough and the villages around it — Linthorpe terraces, Acklam semis and the Nunthorpe family homes. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough covers a lot of ground and the work changes street by street. The Victorian terraces around Linthorpe and Ayresome have long halls and steep stairs; Acklam and Marton are mostly inter-war and post-war semis; Nunthorpe and Coulby Newham are larger modern family houses. We quote room by room so the price reflects what is actually there.
There is a steady stream of rental work here too, particularly nearer the town centre and Teesside University, where a clean carpet at the end of a tenancy is expected rather than optional.
Whatever the postcode, the method is the same: a pre-spray to break down the soiling, agitation where it is needed, then deep hot-water extraction that rinses the dirt out rather than leaving detergent behind in the pile.

Middlesbrough questions
The things people in Middlesbrough ask us most often.
Which parts of Middlesbrough do you cover?
All of it — TS1 through TS8. That takes in Linthorpe, Acklam, Marton, Nunthorpe, Ormesby, Coulby Newham, Hemlington, Berwick Hills, Easterside and the town centre, with no extra travel charge for any of them.
Will cleaning get rid of the smell from my dog?
Usually a great deal of it, yes. Pet odour normally sits in the carpet pile and the underlay. Hot-water extraction flushes the pile properly, which is far more effective than anything sprinkled on top. Where urine has soaked through into the underlay and floorboards the smell can come back, and we will say so honestly rather than promise a miracle.
Do you clean carpets in rented flats and student houses?
Yes. We clean plenty of rentals around the town centre and the university. Tell us the rooms and whether there are stairs and we will price it over the phone.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, £50 for the visit. It covers carpets, rugs and upholstery, and you can mix them — two bedrooms, or a bedroom and an armchair, or a couple of rugs — to make the most of it.
