Carpet Cleaning in Bedale
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Bedale and the villages around it — a small market town on the edge of the Dales with a lot of period property. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Bedale
Bedale is a small market town with a cobbled market place, Bedale Hall at the top of it and a good deal of period property either side. Aiskew runs straight into it across the beck and the villages beyond — Crakehall, Patrick Brompton, Snape, Burneston — are all within a few minutes.
Older houses here often have a mixture of flooring: fitted carpet upstairs, rugs on boards or flags downstairs, and a staircase that has seen a century or two of use. We clean all three and price them separately so you only pay for what you want done.
Bedale sits close enough to the A1 that we pass regularly, so it is an easy one for us to fit into a run. Rugs start at £25, mattresses at £25 and there is a £50 minimum for the visit.

Bedale questions
The things people in Bedale ask us most often.
Do you cover the villages around Bedale?
Yes: Aiskew, Crakehall, Leeming Bar, Snape, Patrick Brompton, Burneston, Thornton Watlass, Exelby, Firby and Well. All at standard prices with no travel charge.
Can you clean rugs as well as fitted carpet?
Yes, and a lot of Bedale properties have both. Rugs start at £25 and we clean them in the home in most cases. We test for colourfastness first, especially on older or hand-made rugs where the dyes can be less stable.
Is there a minimum charge for a small job?
Yes, £50 for the visit. If you only want one bedroom done it is worth adding a rug, a mattress or an armchair to make the most of it rather than paying the minimum for a single £30 room.
Do you work on Saturdays?
We try to fit in weekend and evening work where the diary allows. Ring 0800 001 6757 and tell us what suits you.
