Cleaning carpets in Ware
Ware has more converted maltings than anywhere else we work, and they are a particular kind of job. Big open spaces, exposed brick, hard floors with large rugs rather than fitted carpet, and stairs that are often open-tread and need careful hand work.
Rugs in a converted space take a beating, because all the traffic that would be spread across a fitted carpet is concentrated onto them. They are also frequently the most expensive floor covering in the building, which is why we test the fibre, the backing and the dyes before anything wet goes near one.
The rest of the town is ordinary domestic work - the streets up Musley Hill, the older property along the river and the family housing beyond.

Ware questions
The things people in Ware ask us most often.
Can you clean a large rug in a converted maltings?
Yes. We clean in place on a protected surface where the fibre and backing allow it, after testing the dyes in a hidden corner. Rugs are from £25 and large ones are quoted individually.
Do you cover the villages east of Ware?
Yes - Great Amwell, Widford, Wareside, Stanstead Abbotts, Thundridge and High Cross. All SG12 with no travel charge.
What about open-tread stairs?
Fiddly rather than difficult. Everything is done by hand with a small tool and anything that needs protecting is masked first.
How long will a big open-plan space take?
Longer than the same square footage split into rooms, because there is more continuous floor and fewer breaks. We would give you a time along with the quote.
