Cleaning carpets in Newton Aycliffe
Newton Aycliffe was the first of the post-war new towns in the North and the housing still tells that story. The estates built through the 1950s, 60s and 70s — Simpasture, Horndale, Agnew, Clarence — were carpeted wall to wall from the start, and a lot of them still are. Fitted carpet through a hall, up the stairs and across the landing is the single most common job we quote here.
That layout is also where the £50 minimum works in your favour. Hall at £20, stairs at £35 and landing at £20 comes to £75 as a set, and most people add a lounge from £40 while we are there because it is the same visit.
Woodham and the newer developments out towards Heighington tend to be larger family homes with more bedrooms, and Aycliffe Village is a different animal again — older stone property with rugs rather than fitted carpet. We clean all of it.

Newton Aycliffe questions
The things people in Newton Aycliffe ask us most often.
What does a hall, stairs and landing cost in Newton Aycliffe?
Hall is £20, stairs £35 and landing £20, so £75 for the three together. That is comfortably over our £50 minimum, and most customers add a lounge from £40 or a bedroom from £30 while we are in the house.
The carpets in our ex-council house have never been professionally cleaned. Is it worth it?
Almost always, yes. Older fitted carpet that has had years of traffic will usually come up far better than people expect once the dirt held deep in the pile is extracted rather than just hoovered off the top. What we cannot promise is to remove permanent dye damage, bleach marks or wear where the pile has gone. We will tell you honestly what we think before we start.
Do you cover Aycliffe Village and School Aycliffe?
Yes, along with Heighington, Middridge, Chilton and Rushyford. They are a few minutes from the town and there is no extra charge for the travel.
Can you come out after work or at a weekend?
We try to. Give us a ring on 0800 001 6757 and tell us what suits you — we will fit around you where the diary allows.
