Carpet Cleaning in Bishop Auckland
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Bishop Auckland and the villages around it — market town terraces, Cockton Hill semis and the villages all around. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Bishop Auckland
Bishop Auckland has changed a lot in recent years — Auckland Castle, Kynren and the Auckland Project have brought people back into the market place — but the housing is much as it has always been: dense Victorian terraces around Cockton Hill and Newgate, post-war estates at Woodhouse Close, and stone-built village property out towards Escomb and Witton Park.
We clean across all of it and the surrounding villages are part of our normal area: West Auckland, St Helen Auckland, Coundon, Toronto, Tindale Crescent and Etherley.
Upholstery is strong here. Armchairs at £35, cuddle chairs at £45, two-seaters at £50 and three-seaters at £80 — most people have us do the suite and the lounge carpet in one go, which is the sensible way round.

Bishop Auckland questions
The things people in Bishop Auckland ask us most often.
How much does it cost to have a three piece suite cleaned in Bishop Auckland?
We price by the piece. A three-seater is £80, a two-seater £50 and an armchair £35, so a classic three-piece suite of a three-seater and two armchairs is £150. Send a photo on WhatsApp if you are not sure how yours counts and we will price it exactly.
Which villages around Bishop Auckland do you cover?
West Auckland, St Helen Auckland, Coundon, Witton Park, Toronto, Tindale Crescent, Escomb and Etherley — all at standard prices with no travel charge added.
Will you clean a leather sofa?
Our upholstery pricing is for fabric. Leather needs a different treatment entirely, so ring us and describe it and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we should take on.
How long does a full lounge and suite take?
Usually two to three hours for a lounge carpet plus a suite, depending on how soiled it is and how much moving about there is to do. We will give you a realistic time when we book.
