Cleaning carpets in Thame
Thame has one of the longest and widest market streets in the county, with a line of Georgian and earlier frontages along it. Behind those fronts the buildings run deep and narrow, often over three floors, sometimes with two staircases in them and a hall that runs most of the length of the house. That shape is the reason so much of our work here is stairs and halls rather than rooms.
Working on the main street does mean the van is not always directly outside the door. Stairs are hand work: a small tool, tread by tread, into the corners and up the risers, because a stair carpet takes more concentrated footfall per square foot than anything else in a building. It is slow going, and it is the part people notice most afterwards.

There is nowhere to park directly outside - is that a problem?
Not usually. The hoses run from the van, so anywhere within a reasonable distance works, including a side street round the corner. There is no extra charge for a longer run. Just let us know when you book.
How much for two flights of stairs and two landings?
£110 at our standard prices - £35 for each flight and £20 for each landing. In a three-storey house that is normally combined with the hall at £20, which brings the whole run through the house to £130.
Why are stairs priced separately from rooms?
Because they take far longer per square foot. Every tread and riser is cleaned by hand with a small tool rather than in straight passes, so a flight takes about as long as a bedroom despite being a fraction of the area.
Do you cover the villages around Thame as well as the town?
