Carpet Cleaning in Welwyn
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Welwyn and the villages around it — old village property, Digswell houses and the lanes out towards Tewin. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Welwyn
Welwyn village is a quite separate place from Welwyn Garden City down the road, and the housing could hardly be more different. The village has old property around the High Street, larger houses along the lanes, and a good deal of wool carpet and proper rugs.
Digswell and the roads towards Tewin are larger still - the sort of houses where a lounge is genuinely two rooms of floor, where there are three staircases rather than one, and where the rugs are worth taking seriously before anything wet goes near them.
We quote those properly rather than applying a standard room price and hoping. You get a firm figure before we start.

Welwyn questions
The things people in Welwyn ask us most often.
My rooms are bigger than average - how does that affect the price?
Our listed prices assume a standard room, so anything substantially larger is quoted individually. We would far rather tell you that on the phone than surprise you on the day.
Do you cover the villages around Welwyn?
Yes - Digswell, Oaklands, Tewin, Codicote, Ayot, Woolmer Green and Burnham Green. All within AL6 and the lanes around it, with no travel charge.
How do you handle a house with several staircases?
Each flight is priced at the £35 stair rate. It is hand work either way, so the time scales with the number of flights rather than anything else.
Can you clean a hand-knotted rug?
We test the fibre, the backing and the dyes first. Many clean beautifully in the home. If a rug really needs specialist immersion washing we will tell you rather than take a chance with something valuable.
