Carpet Cleaning in Maidenhead
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Maidenhead and the villages around it — new apartments around the station alongside long-established suburbs. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Maidenhead
Maidenhead has changed shape faster than almost anywhere else we cover. The ground around the station has filled with apartment blocks, while Furze Platt, Boyn Hill, Cox Green and Pinkneys Green carry on much as they were - 1930s semis, post-war estates and a great deal of 1970s family housing. The two halves of the town want quite different things from us.
Flats bring their own practicalities. Our hoses run from the van, so what actually matters is where we can park and how far it is to your door. Second and third floors are routine and there is no extra charge for a lift or a staircase. If the block has a barrier, a permit system or a door code, mention it when you book and we will sort it out beforehand.
Apartment carpet is nearly always pale, short and synthetic, chosen to look clean on a viewing day. It resists staining well and holds greasy soil stubbornly, so it goes dull rather than spotty. People assume two-year-old carpet has worn out when it has simply gone grey. A degreasing pre-spray and proper heat usually brings most of it back.

Maidenhead questions
The things people in Maidenhead ask us most often.
Do you clean carpets in flats above ground level?
Yes, regularly. The hoses come from the van, so a second or third floor makes no difference to the price. Let us know about barriers, permits or a door code when you book so we are not stuck outside with the machine running.
Which parts of Maidenhead do you cover?
All of SL6 - the town centre, Furze Platt, Boyn Hill, Cox Green, Pinkneys Green and Woodlands Park, plus Bray, Holyport and White Waltham. No travel charge and no call-out fee anywhere in it.
The carpet in our new apartment already looks grey - why?
Pale synthetic pile holds greasy soil rather than staining, so it loses its brightness long before it loses any fibre. It is dirt rather than wear, and it usually comes back a long way with the right pre-spray and proper heat.
Can you clean a sofa at the same time as the carpet?
Yes. A two-seater is £50, a three-seater £80 and an armchair £35. Doing it in the same visit saves you a second minimum charge, and the room ends up finished properly rather than half done.
