Rugs take a beating. They sit in the busiest part of a room, they catch everything that comes in on shoes, and because they are loose they trap grit right down at the base of the pile where a vacuum will not reach.
The difference between a rug that comes up beautifully and one that goes wrong is knowing what it is made of. We check the fibre, the dye and the backing before anything gets wet, then match the temperature, the products and the amount of moisture to what that particular rug can take.

How much does rug cleaning cost?
Rugs start at £25. Large or specialist rugs are priced on request once we have seen the size, the fibre and the backing.
Will the colours run?
We check for colour fastness before we start. Most modern rugs are perfectly stable. If a rug looks like it might bleed we will tell you and either adjust the method or advise against cleaning it.
Can you clean wool rugs?
Yes, but wool needs a gentler approach than a synthetic rug, at a lower temperature and with the right products. Matching the method to the fibre is the whole job with rugs.
Do you take the rug away?
We clean in your home as standard, which keeps the cost down and means you are not without it for a week. Anything that genuinely needs off-site treatment we will tell you about honestly.
How long will it take to dry?
A few hours in a ventilated room. Do not put it back under heavy furniture until it is fully dry, and avoid walking on it in outdoor shoes for the rest of the day.
