End of Tenancy Carpet Cleaning in Reading
What decides a deposit argument in Reading is paperwork rather than how the carpet looks on the day. A check-out report describes each room in a fixed vocabulary — clean, marked, soiled, worn — and whoever writes it will be comparing those words with the ones used at check-in. A clean carpet with nothing to show for it is weaker evidence than a dated receipt.
So we write the rooms down. The receipt names every room we cleaned, the date it was done and what was treated, which is the form the deposit schemes are used to reading. If an agent has asked for something specific in writing, tell us before we come out and we will put it on the receipt then, rather than afterwards from memory.
There are limits worth knowing about. Cleaning deals with soil; it does not undo a cigarette burn, a bleach mark or a seam that has been walked open, and we will say which is which when we arrive. Flagging those to the agent yourself and early tends to go better than hoping nobody opens the curtains on handover day.

Reading questions
The things people in Reading ask us most often.
What should the receipt say for my check-out?
The date, the address, every room cleaned and the method used. That is what goes on ours as standard. If the agent wants particular wording, or the invoice made out to the landlord instead, tell us at booking and we will do it that way.
Do you clean carpets in shared houses in Reading?
Regularly, and usually as one booking for the whole property rather than room by room. One visit costs less per room than several, and it gives you a single dated receipt covering the house instead of a handful of separate ones.
The carpet has a burn in it. Is cleaning still worth doing?
Usually yes. A clean carpet with one identified fault reads very differently from a dirty carpet with the same fault, and it narrows the argument to the one thing instead of the whole floor. We will not pretend the burn has gone.
Can you clean a second floor flat before a tenancy ends?
Yes. Everything runs from the van on a hose, so the floor matters less than the access route. Let us know about lifts, fire doors and parking when you book, and allow a little longer for drying than you would in a house.
