Most are. Some viscose blends, a few linens and certain loose covers shrink or mark, so we test fibre and colourfastness somewhere hidden first. If a piece is not suitable we say so rather than take the risk.
Why are the arms of our sofa darker than the rest of it?
Body oils off hands and forearms. They build up invisibly, then go dark and start holding soil in place. Oil needs a degreasing pre-spray and heat - water on its own will not shift it at all.
