Carpet Cleaning in Bedford
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Bedford and the villages around it — Victorian terraces, riverside flats and the big post-war estates. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Bedford
Bedford is the biggest job on our southern list and it has every kind of carpet in it. The Victorian terraces around Queen's Park and Cauldwell have narrow halls, steep stairs and small rooms. De Parys and the streets off the Embankment have larger period houses, often with wool and often with rugs over floorboards. Putnoe, Brickhill and Goldington are post-war family housing with the wear patterns that go with it.
The through-lounge is the thing worth mentioning in Bedford, because the terraces are full of them. Two rooms knocked into one is a bigger floor than a standard lounge and we price it honestly as such rather than quoting for a lounge and then discovering it on the day.
There is also a steady run of student and rental changeovers, plus the flats along the river, where access and drying are the two things to plan around.

Bedford questions
The things people in Bedford ask us most often.
How much is a through-lounge in a Bedford terrace?
A standard lounge is from £40, and a through-lounge is effectively two rooms of floor, so it is quoted individually - usually £65 to £75. We tell you that when we quote, not when we arrive.
Do you cover all of Bedford?
Yes, the whole of MK40, MK41 and MK42, including Queen's Park, Putnoe, Brickhill, Goldington, Kempston and Elstow. No travel charge anywhere in the town.
Can you get into a flat with no lift?
Usually yes. Our equipment comes in sections and we run hoses from the van, so upper-floor flats are routine. Tell us the floor when you book so we bring enough hose.
Do you work with landlords and letting agents?
Regularly. We can invoice the landlord or agent directly, work to a changeover date, and provide a dated receipt for the inventory.
