Mattress Cleaning in High Wycombe
Children's mattresses get a particular kind of soiling and it needs dealing with rather than drying out and hoping. Urine salts stay in the filling after the moisture has gone, they draw damp back out of the air, and that is where the smell on a warm evening comes from. Flushing them out with heat and extraction is the only thing that works.
Bunk beds and cabin beds are awkward rather than difficult. The top mattress usually has to come down to be done properly, and there is rarely room to stand it anywhere, so we plan that part with you when you book. Single mattresses are from £25 each like any other size, and two in the same room are quoted together.
Wycombe has a great deal of family housing across HP11, HP12 and HP13, and the estates up on the slopes at Micklefield and Sands keep us in child beds all year. Two singles is £50, which meets the minimum charge for a visit on its own. Bedroom carpets are from £30 a room if the same trip suits you.

High Wycombe questions
The things people in High Wycombe ask us most often.
Can you get the smell out of a child's mattress?
Usually, if we can reach what is causing it. The smell comes from salts left in the filling that pull moisture out of the air, so they have to be flushed and extracted rather than sprayed over. Older, repeated soiling is harder.
Is a mattress protector worth putting on afterwards?
Yes, for a child's bed especially. It will not stop everything, but it keeps the next accident in a layer you can put through a wash instead of in the filling, which is the part we have to come out for.
Do bunk beds need taking apart?
Not usually taking apart, but the top mattress wants bringing down so it can be cleaned flat and dried. Tell us it is a bunk when you book and we will allow for the extra handling. The price per mattress is the same.
How much for the children's beds and the landing carpet?
Two single mattresses is £50 and a landing is £20, so £70 for the visit. Add the stairs at £35 and it comes to £105. You have the full figure before anything at all starts.
