Carpet Cleaning in Kempston
Merlin's Carpet Cleaning covers Kempston and the villages around it — post-war family estates, riverside homes and busy household floors. We are family run with over ten years behind us, our prices are the ones on the list with nothing added afterwards, and every quote is free.
Cleaning carpets in Kempston
Kempston is family housing more than anything else, and family housing means the same three problems: traffic lanes, stairs, and something specific that happened on the lounge carpet about eighteen months ago that nobody has mentioned to anyone since.
All three are fixable. Traffic lanes are ground-in soil rather than staining and they respond dramatically to pre-treatment and extraction. Stairs need hand work. And the mystery stain usually comes out once we know what it was, which is why we always ask rather than guess - coffee, blackcurrant and pet accidents all need different chemistry.
Kempston is also where a fair number of our upholstery jobs come from. A three-seater is £80, a two-seater £50, and doing the sofa at the same visit as the lounge carpet makes far more sense than two separate trips.

Kempston questions
The things people in Kempston ask us most often.
Can you do the sofa at the same time as the carpets?
Yes, and it is the sensible way to do it. A two-seater is £50, a three-seater £80 and an armchair £35. Combining them into one visit makes the most of the £50 minimum charge.
There is a stain I do not want to admit to - will you judge me?
Not even slightly. We have seen everything. What helps is knowing what caused it, because a protein stain, a dye stain and a grease stain all need different treatment and guessing wastes a pass.
How long does a lounge and stairs take?
Around an hour and a half including pre-treatment and the extra drying passes. We will give you an expected time when we quote.
Do you cover Kempston Rural and Box End?
Yes, along with Wootton, Elstow, Stewartby and the rest of MK42. No travel charge.
